Saguenay Fjord Kayaking and Wilderness Camping Trip- July 18th - July 23rd, 2005
|

The photos are from a trip to Saguenay Fjord in Quebec Canada. Nine member from the Jersey Shore Sea kayak Association kayaked down the fjord and camped out in wilderness sites on a 48 mile journey that lasted for five days. Some members stayed for an extra day and camped on the banks of the Saint Lawrence River.

The photos are from a trip to Sedge Island in Barnegat Bay. A group of kayakers from the Jersey Shore Sea kayak Association spent three terrific days in the lodge at Sedge Island Conservation Center.

The Sedge Island Marine Conservation Zone contains approximately 1,600 acres of highly productive tidal marshes, creeks, ponds, and open water. The purpose of the Conservation Zone is to protect and interpret the wildlife resources while reducing user conflicts and maintaining the traditional uses of the area. Canoe and kayak tours are offered by Park's interpretive staff.
